Monitoring Officers Group

Discussing and comparing work and looking at shared priorities forms the basis of the on-going remit of the group.

The fundamental reason that LAs undertake SEN monitoring is to judge whether the resources they use make an impact on pupils and their progress.
Within each LA, this will be organised through a SEN Monitoring Strategy (MS). The group has contributed to the sharing of these strategies and, with the SEN Advisers Group, to the production of the WMRP report on monitoring the effectiveness of SEN Provision.
